What???? You suggest that the poor dears from the boondocks actualy get out of their cars and (shudder) take the Red Line. Ooooh! "L" cooties! Loss of control.
Don not Gordon not Drysdale not not Zimmer and not Serious
i happen to agree but i really wasn't advocating driving as much as Cub's games and the start of spring. i used to live in that area and the first time the signs went out on the street, it always made me feel better because i really hate the long grey winters here.
there is nothing better than walking to wrigley on a hot summer night.
Riding my bike is my favorite way to get to Wrigley (not quite close enough to walk there). Cruising past all that stopped traffic on a warm summer night is the best!
i landed about 20 years ago too and thankfully, wrigley and all it's chicago charm and quirkiness has not changed all that much except for the prices.
and the parking situation is still comical. i still get a kick out of the local neighborhood "entrepeneurs" who stand in alleys and on streets directing cars to their own little tax free parking accomodations.
actually, i will be visiting soon because i want to see the bleacher extension that was constructed over the winter. blair kamin, the trib architecture critic actually endorsed the renovation and he is not easily pleased.
there was a time when my business allowed me to go to a lot of day games. geez, for ten bucks and a few more for some brews and a dog. there aren't too many ways to spend a sunny day in chicago.

there's something awfully satisfying about pedaling past stopped cars. especially suburbanites. i enjoy the expressions.

Me Don Not Baylor.
And yes, even though i don't own a car, I get the concept of showing the parking restriction sign.

i sort of think paradise was right though. i assumed the image meant the same thing to everyone.
