There are simply not enough pictures of Joe Moore on his website. Oh, sure, we have some: the pic on nearly every page in the upper left corner (that looks like it was taken about 30 lbs. and 15 years ago); the quasi-GQ pic on the home page. Then, of course, there are the action shots (Joe gamely wearing pink at Gay Pride parade and cutting a purple ribbon at Gateway). Mike Erickson gets but a dark teeny pic; staff get none (perhaps they prefer not to be identified?). The pic of Joe delivering turkeys may be my fav (let's just say we all got one). Yes, there is the photo gallery page with pics of Joe with this and that politico (including pic of him with Wash DC mayor but not with Mayor of actual city he serves in and where is our pic of him with Howie Dean?). It's an ok photo array, and actually choked me up a few times when one can't help but notice the effects of the hardship of office (it's tough eating all those state fair meals and staying in shape). But it's not enough. The ward needs more, perhaps something along the lines of those Day in the Life books. A Day in the Life of Joe Moore. Of course, it would be very proper but we'd start with him taking the kids to school, eating breakfast (inquiring minds want to know what Joe eats and where he eats it); a few candid shots of him in the office with the old staff, then some at city hall (can you imagine the Rocky Horror Picture Show images from this? I get to art direct!), then driving up Lake Shore back to the 'ol ward to attend one of these development meetings, maybe a pic or two of Craig shouting questions and him icing Craig at a community meeting, and so on. Maybe Maryann Smith could then emulate it. There are hardly any pics of her at all on her site, if you can believe it.
